Giving Back
Abbadabba’s is dedicated to giving back to the local and global community we live in. Below are just a few of the organizations we have partnered with to fulfill this mission.
PEDS (Pedestrians Educating Drivers on Safety)
We are partnering with PEDS to promote pedestrian safety by sponsoring their Slow Down Driver campaign. About 2000 signs will be distributed to neighborhoods around Atlanta to remind drivers to slow down so that school children and all pedestrians can be safer.
These signs are available for pick-up in our stores. We encourage you to stop by any of our locations to pick up a free sign to post in your yard.

Soles4Souls:
We have donated thousands of shoes through our participation in the Soles4Souls program. This charity collects shoes and distributes them free of charge to people in need throughout the world.
Since 2005, Soles4Souls has given away over 19 million pairs of new and gently worn shoes. We invite you to leave your gently worn shoes in the Soles4Souls donation box at any of our store locations.
Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper
We have partnered with the Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper through monetary, in-kind donations and by helping to “Sweep the Hooch” each year. This important organization is dedicated to protecting the Chattahoochee River Basin in order to restore and preserve its ecological health for the people, fish and wildlife that depend on it.
PADV
We teamed with Yaleet, Inc., distributor of NAOT shoes, to donate $18,000 of new NAOT shoes to domestic violence survivors living in safe houses run by the Partnership Against Domestic Violence (PADV).
Janice Abernethy and Bill Carmichael, owners of Abbadabba’s, fit the residents with shoes and left additional shoes for women and teens who will reside in the shelters in the future.
Neighborhood Schools
Managers at each of our five store locations support their neighborhood schools through ongoing donations. These gifts help the schools raise money which is used to enhance each student’s learning experience.
Camp Twin Lakes – Partners Card
Each year, we are pleased to participate in the Camp Twin Lakes Partners Card Promotion by offering our customers a chance to enjoy 20% off at Abbadabba’s with their Partners Card during the promotion period. 100% of the sale of each Partners Card directly benefits Camp Twin Lakes, enabling kids facing serious illnesses, disabilities and other life challenges to enjoy time at Camp.
Little 5 Points Halloween Parade, Little 5 Fest and More!
We love to get back to our roots in Little 5 Points where we opened our first store over 30 years ago! We support the community of Little 5 Points through participation and sponsorship in the annual Halloween Parade, Little5Fest and other grassroots events.
East Cobber Parade
Our employees and customers joined our East Cobb Neighbors to participate in their annual September parade. We are proud to be part of the East Cobb community.
Black Girls Run
We enthusiastically support the mission of Black Girls Run: encouraging African American women to make fitness and healthy living a priority.
World Sight Day
Each year, Abbadabba’s and Toms shoes join the global movement to bring awareness of visual impairment and blindness as a solvable world issue. Every purchase of Tom’s eyewear will help give sight to one person in need through medical treatment or sight-saving surgery.
Toms Day without Shoes
We encouraged our staff and customers to go barefoot on April 10th to raise awareness about the number of people in the world with no shoes and how it impacts their lives. In addition, we are proud to sell Toms shoes, a company that donates a pair of shoes to a child in need each time we sell a pair of shoes!
Local Races
We encourage our customers and staff to “break a sweat” and get outside for a dose of healthy exercise each day! As part of this mission, we support many local walks, races and other outdoor events throughout the year including:
Historic Roswell 5K and 10 Miler
We are proud to be a Gold Sponsor of this race which benefits Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
Atlanta Beltline Running Series
Abbadabba’s is a Bronze Sponsor of the 2013 Beltline Running Series. It is an important part of our mission to support our community and to encourage our employees, customers and the entire community to get more active!

The annual Gobble Jog is a Thanksgiving Day tradition benefiting the important causes of Must Ministries.
