Hiking
Hiking can run the gamut from short, casual hour-long walks in nature to week-long treks lugging backpacks and camping gear to remote locations. What they all involve is head’s down walking over a variety of terrains, and that creates some very special functional requirements. You want the forward mobility of walking and running coupled with lateral stability to roll over branches and rocks. You want traction that can grab at flat and hard or slippery and wet. You want protection: from the elements, from the trail, and from the twists and turns that hiking can occasion. Hikers vary and so do their shoes. Look for: -Durability -Breathability -Waterproofing -Antimicrobial -Soles with traction -Lateral stability Our sales associates have solved a litany of hiking challenges with our wide variety of shoes that make sense.
